first supported tour - what to expect?

I'm thinking about signing up for the 4 day, 3 night MassBikePike tour in August. Sounds like fun, but I'm a little nervous about going by myself. Has anyone done this tour before? Or if not, are supported tours fairly friendly to single riders? Thanks for the info.

I've done two supported tours (not that one), and both times I went by myself. It was great!

I ride solo most of the time anyway, so on the first day, I rode mainly by myself but occasionally chatted to some of the other riders.

By the second day, I was riding with a little group of riders, and we all sat around the campfire and talked that night.

And by the third day, we were all riding like we'd known each other forever.

You'll only be alone when you arrive for the tour. Be sure and take lots of pictures of your new found friends!

I've never done that tour, but everything I've read and experienced with touring is that travel by bicycle introduces you to some of the nicest folks you will ever meet. Just do it, and enjoy yourself.
