Yes, another LHT

Hi all,

Just thought I'd add my LHT to the mix. Just finished the build-up. The ride feels much different from what I'm used to, but it's a good different. Can't wait to try it out loaded! Will do a San Francisco --> San Diego trip at the very least, with a cross-county tour next year, perhaps.

Here's mine. I just took this pic yesterday, as a matter of fact. The bike is not used for touring, but for solo riding exploring the back roads around my home. It's set up with 700 x 28 high-pressure tires:

Very nice LHTs. Ishobo, yours gives me ideas for my wife's LHT, white the bar tape & seat, I had been planning to get the pink Chris King headset for her as well.

Cheers!

Riding with front panniers is really no big deal at all, unless the bike has crazy geometry or something. I routinely ride my commuter (which happens to have an LHT fork) with 20-30 pounds in the front panniers. If anything, the bike is more stable loaded up like that. A decent touring bike can handle lots of luggage without much trouble. Many actually handle better (my Miyata and Univega are much better when weight is added).

Happy to inspire! Yeah, personally I think the white, green, and pink complement each other quite well. Sure the white probably won't stay that way, but I just couldn't help it.
