What should I expect to pay for an LHT?

Saw the other thread about prices going up on the LHT and it made me think. I have been toying with the idea of buying a new bike anyway. I own a road bike and was not really sure if I wanted a hybrid for trail riding or just get a touring bike and use wider tires when ridding the trails. Since I have fallen in love with touring, I might get a better use out of a tour bike.

I like the LHT. The MSRP of $985 seems like a livable pricepoint. Can I expect to buy the bike for under MSRP or do most dealers not discount?

They seem to sell quickly. Probably close to $985.

Man, am I ever glad I came up with the cash when I did!

I paid $985 6 days ago. Most places around here sell them at MSRP, as do many of the online outlets. Better hurry up!

PS, even if I delayed my purchase until the price increase (however much that might be), I'd still be more than ecstatic about this bike.

The Big Dummy went up something like 17%. Given the LHT is easier to build and made in much higher volumes I'd expect an increase of 7%-10% on MSRP, but that's just a guess.
