Could try this:
Old Man Mountain Cold Springs The Cold Springs Rear is our toughest no-eyelet compatible rack. It's laser-cut top plate is a single piece of 6061-T6 Aluminum that is folded at the rear for a unique look and added strength. This is OMM's original model, first designed in 1996. http://www.oldmanmountain.com/Pages/...RearRacks.html Specs Load Capacity: 50 lbs. Weight: 610g Length x Width x Height 11.75" x 6.25" x 14.25" Avail. DISC, ROAD, MTB, or 29" |

wow, expensive!!! |
Definitely not cheap, or you could use the Sherpa rear rack which is less expensive. You can also take a standard rack and with a little ingenuity that I have seen by others, copy the idea and use a longer skewer.

wow, expensive!!! I have two classic steel Merckx race bikes (one Kelme Team bike and another rare model that I brought in from Europe). Blackburn once made THIS rack with a single upper stay that could be mounted to the brake bridge on a road bike. I have one but haven't seen them for sale in many years. Perhaps someone else makes something along those lines. Otherwise, take a look at the FIT SOLUTIONS at www.thetouringstore.com for ideas. I'd personally consider the Tubus Logo because it lets you set the bags further back which will come in handy on a race bike. Take a look around www.fullyloadedtouring.com and you'll see a couple of racing bikes that have been used for loaded touring. I hope you get something sorted out and find yourself touring soon.
