UK - looking for v.large, v.light holdall for panniers
Hi,
British Airways allows us to check-in one bag only, so I'll have to put all of my bike luggage into a single bag, large enough for 2x front panniers, 2x back panniers, handlebar bag and tent. I've managed to find a large, clear, ripstop nylon 'sack', which would do the job, but I just know that some idiot Customer Service Operative will try to stop us getting through because it doesn't have handles or something. So I'm looking for a very large, lightweight, nylon holdall-type bag which will compress down to something that's easy to carry on our tour. Anyone know of such a thing in the UK, preferably one I can order online?
I'm sure I've seen this kind of thing in LOADS of places, but now that I have a need for one, I can't find it anywhere!

I was checking the BA site and it doesn't list camping equipment as sporting goods. You can however take your rifle, as that is acceptedas sporting equipment. Too bad, no BA for me.

When I flew with my bike to LA I bought a cheap hockey equipment bag [less than $20] and put all my panniers and gear in that. My other luggage was the bike box. At my destination I unpacked the gear and gave the bag away to an employee at the airport who was thrilled to have it.
On my way back I bought a nicer duffel bag at REI which I flew home with and continue to use at home to this day.

I have just back from France (Ryanair but still opted for one check in bag) and I just strapped my panniers together with some strong straps. Otherwise get yourself what my girlfriend refers to as a going home to mainland China bag (she s from Hong Kong), you frequently see people using them to move houses in London as they are cheap and big. They are zip up nylon, bags you frequently see for sale at market bag stalls, usually red blue white stripes / checks made up from the different colour nylon. Sorry I can't find a picture.
actually yes I can this type of thing https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Jumbo-Size-Lau...6.c0.m14.l1318
May be available in different sizes so check. I found that by searching for laundry bag on ebay.

Thanks very much for all the suggestions - I think the MASSIVE-GIANT laundry bag is the winner! For £2.99! Brilliant. I'll check BA's permitted dimensions, and order up a couple of the largest that they'll allow.
Cheers,
Al
