Truckee to Sacramento tour

Anyone ever ride/tour from Truckee to Sacramento over Soda Springs/Foresthill Divide Rd. As I understand, there are about 30 miles of dirt road between Soda Springs and Robinson Flat CG.
I plan on taking Amtrak up to Truckee, spend a nite at Donner State Park (hike/bike campsites), then, next day, ride up Donner Summit to Soda Springs, then to Robinson Flat CG for the second nite.
The last day is 60 miles with 7,000 feet of decending on Foresthill Road to Auburn, then to Folsom Lake to hop on the American River Parkway bike trail for the final 32 miles back to the Amtrak station in Old Sac.

Any helpful tips from riders who have taken this route would be appreciated. This route avoids the 15 miles on Interstate 80 that is the only other travel option.

Total miles: 37 miles first day with a couple thousand feet of climbing.
92 miles second day with 7,000 feet of decending, and some climbing, but not much, no major passes.
