Anybody See The Article In USA Today?

They had a pretty decent article on vacationing bike tours (in Vermont, I believe) - organized tours that ride from country inn to inn. Seemed to be aimed towards the aging baby boomers.....but a pretty good article.

I was struck by one line describing the dining at the end of each day...something to the effect that "after riding an average of 40 miles per day, you deserve it!".

I dunno, but I ride pretty much about 40 miles every time I get on my bike on the weekend.

Maybe I should go one on of these deals and show 'em what a 55 year old fat guy can do!

to be fair, vermont can have some big hills / mountains. if you are looking for a fun vacation and aren't a regular cyclist 40 miles with hills is probably a good number for a workout but not too long, and you get to see some great stuff. then you still get to relax for a while at your destination each night.
