panniers any bike
hi all, just want to let everyone know i am new to the forum. been reading alot of threads, and learned lots of good stuff already. i am new to cycling and thinking of getting into the touring side, it seems like a great way to stay in shape and see lots of new things. now for my question.
i have hybrid bike that is brand new and i was going to purhase some panniers racks for the front and back and i was just wondering if they would transfer to a new bike once i upgrade? i am thinking it shouldn't be an issuse providing they meet the wheel spacing and the holes on the new bike match up with the racks.
would greatly appreciate any info, thank you

rear racks should work for any bike. You may have to re-bend the stays that attach to the top attachment points, but they are either cheap to replace or strong enough to be re-bent. Front racks are sold to fit any bike assuming they have mid fork braze ons. Even then, I've heard that fiddling is neccessary to make some fit. You may have to re-fiddle them. Some front racks on the market are adjustable. So basically most racks are designed to fit any bike, assuming your bike has the appropriate braze ons.
