First tour--Boston to Philly--completed
I couldn't have picked a better week for cycling. The last nine days were some of the most beautiful I can remember, and the trip went off without a hitch. For details, feel free to take a look at my blog: bostontophilly.blogspot.com. I apologize for the rambling, incoherent nature of the writing--it was always at the end of the day when I was struggling to stay awake. Thanks to everyone who helped me with all of my questions before the trip.

Could you post, either to your blog or here, a map of your route? It sounds like a good touring route.

Hello, and thanks for the welcome. I used the Adventure Cycling Maps between Windsor Locks, CT and New Hope, PA. As you suggested a few weeks ago, I decided to plot a more direct course between New Hope and Philadelphia. Not only did I avoid Norristown, but I also got around trying to decipher a hideously detailed cue sheet that had me making turns about once a mile. From New Hope I simply followed 32 (River Rd.) along the PA side of the river down to Washington's Crossing. From there I picked up 532, which becomes Bustleton Rd. right outside the city. I took Bustleton down to Verree Ave., Verree to Oxford Ave. (for just about a block), and Oxford to Rising Sun Blvd. Rising Sun ends at Adams Ave. I took Adams Ave. west to E. Godfrey Ave. (then Godfrey and West Godfrey), which took me right to Broad St. (611). My final Destination was Temple University so Broad St. took me to the end of my route. If you like, I can send along my route from Southborough, MA to Windsor Locks (via Sturbridge, MA and Canaan, CT), but this one had a few kinks (read massive hills). Then again, so did the rest of the New England component of my journey following the Adventure Cycling maps.
