Personalizing Panniers

I'm taking off for a thanksgiving tour and I wanted to personalize my ortlieb panniers. I was considering screenprinting on top of them and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this (what ink to use or process to use).

Also if anyone has done anything like this with their gear, pics would be awesome.

Yeah, I paint all sorts of crap on my panniers, only started on my rear panniers so far.

The "AUS" painting comes in handy, everyone asks me if I'm Australian. Are we popular or something?

i own a screen printing business and try to print on bike stuff all the time. the problem is not the ink, its getting the pannier to lay flat. if its not completely flat you will end up with ink pools and it would look like crap. i have professional equipment and still wont do it because it just wont work. spray paint and a stencil on the other hand...

yeah I think I may have to do the stencil approach. I have a professional screenprinting setup at hand as well, but I was more curious how to do things on the PVC.

I love my hat like Indiana Jones loves his.

I am by no means any kind of knowledgable person about screenprinting, but years ago I made some vinyl bumper stickers with someone who seemed to have figured it out pretty well. We used Nazdar permanent vinyl ink, so that might work if you do screenprint anything, or maybe of you use a stensile and apply it with a roller, a sponge, or something else.

union ink company will test fabrics to see what ink sticks if you send it them a sample.
