Burley Nomad with Fenders?

So, I have gone back and forth for some time. The big question of which trailer to get. I think I have finally narrowed it down to the Burley Nomad because of the stability and the way it sits in the back(slightly off to the left to keep you out of the gravel and a nasty wipe out). The one defect that everybody complains about is the wheels don't have fenders. According to most reviews, water spurts up from the wheels, forcing water up and under the rain cover and eventually soaking everything. Can you put BOB fenders on Nomad wheels? They are both 16".

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks folks! :)

Awesome! I'm not technically savvy, but I bet I could find somebody who is. Or at least somebody who owns a jigsaw. Those fenders look great! Thanks so much! :)

That's ingenious! An excellent idea. :)

Does anybody know of another way of putting fenders on a Nomad?

There's nothing to fix fenders on the outside of wheel. only on inside. You would have to devise something yourself, much like fitting fenders to recumbent delta trikes.

I'd just put stuff inside plastic or other WP bags and drop the idea of fenders. Even with fenders, you'd probably still bag to ensure WP on a Nomad.

Fenders are an interesting idea. Seems like a lot of work for a more easily solved problem. The simple answer is dry bags. pack everything into dry bags and then load the dry bags onto the trailer. This works for me. Then again, i know the Burley isn't water proof. So, my thinking isn't on how to make it so. it's how to keep my stuff dry.

The BoB bag is essentially a big custom made to fit dry bag for the BoB.

I already have the dry bags for inside the trailer. I was thinking I needed the fenders to protect my back. Haven't tried the Nomad in the rain yet, but I assumed the spray from the Nomad's wheels would reach my back. Will it?
