Do Randonees have any resale value?

I'm considering selling my Randonee, but I've heard that b/c it's a "Novara" name, they don't resell for very much. Does anyone know if this is the case?

I've seen a few for sale on Ebay over the past year and they seem to do pretty well in my opinion. Considering that it's a bike that you can purchase each spring for around 800 ish dollars with the 20% off coupon....... If newer they seem to go for $600 or more if in good shape. In reality this is a smaller depreciation than most road bikes.... smaller market so less to choose from. Of course size of frame has an effect on return as well.... A 56 frame should bring more than a 52 or a 60 in most cases. It's just a matter of more riders chasing the same size frame. Throw it on ebay and set a reserve your comfortable with and see what happens..... It's going to cost very little to find out. Good luck with your decision. Also.... try the classifieds on this forum first.... You might just find an easy no hassle sale.

I sold my 01 Randonee on Craigslist, 56 cm, and it sold in 2 hrs. I got $500 for it. I kept it in pristine condition and documented all the service I gave to it. It was my baby and only sold to the right owner that will take care of it. Clean it up, take great pics, document all components and advantages, show receipt of ownership.

I had over 20 replies for the bike and the higher end Novara do hold their value good. Good luck.

Bikes: More bicycles than I can ride at one time: 2 custom made tourers, a Brompton 6-speed, and an Indian-made roadster.

Overpriced or underpriced - the only price that matters is what you get for it. Otherwise it is mere speculation, or (worse yet) a bike that you store in your garage because no one wants to pay YOUR price.
