Touring Twitterers?

Is anyone else on here using Twitter? I don't have any tours coming up, but I have found it is a pretty useful way to keep track of people . . . . if anyone is interested, check it out. www.twitter.com I am @pelon

Great way to follow pro cyclists . . . . Armstrong, Hincapie, Leipheimer, etc. I have no affiliation with them whatsoever, but I do think it's pretty cool . . . . .

I'm going on my first (short) tour from boston to ny this weekend, and this sounds like a great idea. I'll definitely be using this to let my friends/family i'm alive. thanks for mentioning it.

We are FamilyOnBikes on Twitter. I try to remember to update when I get on internet - in fact, I should head over there now!

Those of you in the US can update twitter by sending texts from your cellphones. Doesn't work on most of the British networks unfortunately, but if you have internet capability you can go to http://m.twitter.com. It's a fairly small page so should work ok on modern cellphones. It works fine on my HTC S620. It's a brilliant idea for a tour, keeps friends and family updated without having to speak to each one individually.
