My new (old) Randonee

I picked up a 2004 Randonee off craigslist. I paid 200$ for everything minus the wheels, cranks and derailleurs. I have enough spare parts to build it into a nice touring rig. I am taking the frame to get powder coated this week. Attached is a picture with the paint removed. I will post pictures when I'm finished.

Sounds like a fun project. I'm looking forward to the pictures - especially after powder coating. That's something I'd like to try on an old bike someday.

What color did you have in mind? Sounds like a fun project. Keep us posted on your progress.

I am aiming to have it painted with a dark red, or dark green. The powder coating company said if they had the paint, they would do it for $10-30. If I had them order the paint however, it would cost $200+. Since this will be my third bike, I am trying to keep cost down as much as possible, we'll see what happens.

Choose whatever color to your liking ;) Its a touring bike, hehe, not a show dog ;)
30$ is nothing. really nothing. I wish I was able to find here in Ireland a deal like this.

Looking forward to see the project progressing.

Cheers,
Kfir

How about bare metal with clearcoat? Simulated brushed aluminum? Clearcoat on top of comic book pages?
