What is a Good Price for 2005 Trek 520

I am looking to buy a Trek 520 frame to replace the one I have now. My current frame is a 21 in. and I need a 19 in. for a better fit. I am planning on just swapping the components between frames. I have found a couple on eBay over the last several months but can remember how much they went for. I know that I saw a few posts a while back, either here or somewhere else but I can’t find them now. I would like to know what a good price is for a frame and fork only. It is a:

2005 Trek 520
Good condition
Low miles

Let me know if there are any old posts that could be useful.

Thank you

Bikes: "Hildy", a Novara Randonee touring bike; a 16-speed Bike Friday Tikit; and a Specialized Stumpjumper frame-based built-up MTB, now serving as the kid-carrier, grocery-getter.

You might try posting on the For Trade sticky here in the touring forum.

I'd get a new Surly frame from the local bike shop-- it won't be all that much more money and you'll know 100% for sure that you're getting a good frame.

You can check "completed" listings on eBay. I just checked and found one frameset that went for $299; the other closed auctions were for complete bikes.

I have no idea. However, I bought a new Surly LHT frame and fork for $400, and a used Specialized Allez frame and carbon fork for $200. I felt both were acceptable prices. But what do I know? Some help I am, huh?

do a normal search in the bay and then when you look to the left you will see "completed listing". You have to be logged in to do this though. I don't think the feature is available if you don't have an ebay account. Good luck in your search!!
