Renting bikes for tour in Ireland?

A friend and I are planning a two-week tour of the west coast of Ireland this May and have had little luck finding a place to rent bikes. Most of the places I've found on the web seem to have gone out of business recently. I even received an email response from one place last December with answers to all my questions, but when I called them last week they were no longer renting bikes!

Has anyone recently rented bikes in Ireland? We would prefer touring or hybrid bikes rather than MTBs and we would like to get them somewhere near Shannon, Limerick, or Killarney.

We've already booked our flight with Aer Lingus and yes, the bikes count as checked baggage with no extra fees, but we're specifically looking to rent once we get there in order to avoid the hassle of taking our own bikes.
