Where can I find a pump peg

Anyone know where I can find an old-fashioned clamp-on pump peg?

My Zefal pump is sized perfectly for my seat tube, but this negates the use of one of my water bottle cages when on tour. I'd like to stow my pump on the underside of my top tube but have found padded velcro straps to be a real pain in the @$$.

A search of Nashbar, Performance, LBS, internet, etc. has so far proven fruitless...

Regards,

B.

A nice classic Campy pump peg (however it's from Holland):

If it's a steel bike, you could have a welder braze one on....

Thanks to both who replied--this one is exactly what I was looking for!

But for a $1.95 I'll have to find something else to buy along with it... :D

I use zip-ties.

OH NO! ZOMBIE THREAD!

But I had the same question.

This seems to the be only place selling these anymore.

Really wish I could find an old Raleigh set to finish a project I'm working on.

Aw it appears Halfords doesn't ship outside the UK.... Makes me even sadder I lost an EBay auction for Raleigh clamp on pegs today to a snipe bid. =(

Not sure where you can get this:

Unless you don't mind paying exorbitant shipping costs for a piece of injection molded plastic that weighs almost nothing:

I have considered using high strength epoxy glue to glue a small conical piece onto a head tube, look at the pump peg on a LHT to see what I am talking about.

A Shimano Flight Deck handlebar clamp for wireless head works as a tall clamp-on peg for round (not oval) tubing. One should use 2 if one needs a pair of pump pegs. The distance from the tubing surface to the pump axis will be about 1-1/8 in. (28.6 mm), in contrast to the 3/4 in. (19.1 mm) distance one would get with brazed-on pump pegs. One should install the screw and nut at the tip of a clamp with the screw point protruding to make a peg that fits the hose-attachment hole of a traditional pump (such as a Zefal Lapize pump or a Sunlite Bicycle Frame Pump) or fits the handle dimple of a Topeak Road Master Blaster pump. One should install the screw and nut with the screw head protruding to make a peg that fits the Schrader-valve-attachment fitting that is at the handle end of a traditional pump (when a Schrader-valve hose is stored in the pump handle) or fits the head dimple of a Topeak Road Master Blaster pump. One should use a protruding screw point or a protruding screw head, whichever works best, to fit the handle dimple or head dimple of a Zeval Rev 88 pump.
This is the handlebar clamp for the wireless head, not the fork clamp for the wireless sensor.
The 26.0 mm version of the clamp works for tubing with o.d. of 0.94 - 1.04 in (24 - 26.4 mm). Smaller tubing must be shimmed.
I guess the 31.8 mm (1-1/4 in.) version of the clamp works for tubing with o.d. of (29.8 - 32.2 mm), and smaller tubing (such as 1-1/8 in. (28.6 mm) tubing) must be shimmed.

I use a ziptie around the head tube. Pull it really tight and then snip off the extra length. The little clamp makes a nice pump peg and if you pulled it tight enough it shouldn't slip. Have had one on my touring bike for a few years holding my Zefal HP-X pump in place

Zefal made them, too. goes on like a Hose clamp tightened with a Plastic screw .

Another vintage thread resurrected from the past.

Just for the record. I have a ton of clamp on pump pegs from REG, Bianchi, and probably some other Italian brand. Many umbrella shaped pegs too. Resurrected posts are awesome!

Since I see the threads started up, briefly at least. Here's some umbrella pump peg/clamp classic bike porn for folks. I have a stack of these things. All NOS. I used to pick them up at bike swaps.

Ah memories... But I wouldn't use one. I like my road morph and it packs in my bags.

Memories indeed! I grabbed up the Bianchi one to use on my Bianchi steel frame...only catch was, my Silca celeste pump fits so perfectly. I don't need it. So now it just collects dust along with the others. Waiting for a project some day!
