How many times have your heard "I was wearing all of my clothes last night and I was still cold!"
With a good pad it has little to do with anything but the bag..... A prolite 4 is more than up to the task of insulating you from the ground.

closed cell foam pads are a great way to go as well... The only one that guarantees that unless you loose it it will work.
