Really good Touring how-to book?
Can anyone suggest a good touring book for a beginner? It'd be nice to have one to give people who are interested in getting into it. In all my book-store rummagings, I've never come across a decent touring how-to book. I'm not impressed with the Bicycling magazine's touring book, and I haven't seen any others.
Any suggestions? -Eric |

I think its a book waiting to be written. Hummmmm. Nope, I'd rather spend the time touring.

steven lord's book is great but what's better than any book ,is if you can hook up with an experience tourer, somebody with a calm attitude to everything a person that dosen't mind you asking them silly question's all the time.i know people like this is few and far between but belive me there worth there weight in gold,so my advice would be forget books you will forget most of what you read anyway, instead look for a cycle tourer just check out your area see what you can come up with.
