Big Agnes Seedhouse 1

i know a lot of you are fans of Big Agnes, so just a heads up that the Big Agnes Seedhouse 1 is on sale @ rei-outlet.com + an extra 20% off (no coupon needed). i think they are about $270 normally and it was $165.38 including taxes and shipping to my address.

I had and sold one of these tents. They are very light and well made, but IMHO a poor design. Unlike the MSR Hubba, you enter the tent from the long end, which means you have to do the inch-worm technique of getting in and out of the tent. The bigger you are the worse it is.

Just thought I would relay my experience with this design.

My old tent is like that, which is why I chose the 1/4 dome this time.

Careful you're looking at the non SL version.

https://www.rei.com/product/737059

The SL version is built with lighter weight materials and is about a pound lighter.

I think the design is identical, but if you want ultralight it's the SL version.

The poles on the non SL are crap.... ask me how I know this

BA did correct the problem... cost me $35 to upgrade to the Easton poles.

I can't count the number of times people have quoted here a great deal on the 1 or the 2 and compared it to the price of the SL1 or SL2.
