Low rider rack recomendations?

I'm looking for a good low rider front rack that is not going to break the bank. ...+/-$30 is what I'm shooting for. Silver is preferred. The fork has mid leg bosses and all the necessary eyelets.
All recommendations welcome.

Have a looksy

Meets all your requirements but price. Sorry At least it is $20 less than anywhere else that sells this, plus comes in silver or black. Free shipping if you can add about $3 to your order.

People really rave on Tubus racks so I bit the bullet and bought a pair myself. The real motivating factor was a friend whose cheap front rack didn't hold up and got all bent out of shape and is now unusable.

Voyager products are made by Cycles Lambert which to my knowledge is also the manufacturer of Tubus. I got their front rack for $40 CDN. I haven't installed yet it, but I was impressed how sturdy it felt.

The rear rack holds two grocery-bag panniers that weigh a ton when filled...

For the Duo, note that you need holes midway up the fork that go all the way through (i.e. on both the outside and inside of the fork legs).

If you only have the hole on the outside, then the Tubus Tara might work better, though that's not exactly a cheap rack either.

If you want something around the $30 mark, then Nashbar sells a budget front low rider rack, which actually seems to be on sale currently for $19.99:

These things are pretty basic in concept, you'd probably be ok with this in reality for most normal touring situations, unless you're doing big expedition off-road type stuff that lasts years, in which case it's probably a good idea to pony up the cash for something more robust. But since the only criteria you mentioned was "budget", the Nashbar lowrider is probably a good fit.

Two of us used these for a coast to coast tour and some subsequent touring. They held up very well. I highly recommend this rack. It is plenty sturdy, fairly light, and inexpensive. I would actually choose it over a lot of the very expensive ones often recommended even if price were not a factor. The third rack in our group was a similar rack from Performance Bike. It was good as well.

Just bought the silver Vetta version of the Nashbar rack for about the same price.

For now this isn't going to see anything more than a few extended weekend tours on pavement. I'll throw down for something more rugged when the trip calls for it.

THANKS!

The problem with the Nashbar rack (and Blackburn rack) is that it is very difficult to remove the front wheel with a quick release. After about 20 trys you finally figure out how. I like the Tubus Tara for the simple reason the front wheel just drops out and back in very easily. Something to consider.
