Riding from Tupelo to New Orleans
...so i'm taking the Natchez Trace from Tupelo, MS to Natchez, MS, and then continuing down the mrt to New Orleans. I'm sure some of you have done this part of the mrt before, and i was wondering if there are any major obstacles i should expect and prepare for.
I was also seeing if there are any of you traveling on the mrt around the first and second week of october on that leg that might like to ride for a day or so. I'm only planning on being gone a week in all, so i'm looking at putting in about 85 or 90 miles a day. Could do a little less, but want to be able to spend a few days in new orleans enjoying the sights and..... well, some drinking.
If anybody has any information they would like to share, i'd sure appreciate it.

Hooked on Touring
I rode the section on the west bank of the Mississippi from Natchez to Simmesport - Highway 15 - as part of a larger cross-country tour. Be aware that there are no services - nada - after Vidalia. Maybe if the weather is warm (I rode in winter) there might be a fishing shack with worms and Coca-Colas.
