Hi everyone, I'm looking for the shortest route from Atlanta, GA to Charlotte, NC but avoiding the interstate. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Assuming you mean by bicycle.
I'll toss my 2 cents in. Consider hwy 72 out of Athens (I know you said Atl, but I don't know the best way from Atl to Athens). I've driven hwy 72 in SC, but not GA. In SC, I recall it's an ok road. Pretty hilly though. 72 will take you all the way to Rock Hill, SC. From here into Charlotte there is no good way, unless it's early Sunday morning. Pretty much any route from here into Charlotte will be busy, and your choice depends on what part of Charlotte you are trying to get into.
Maybe you'll get a more authoritative reply, but this might help you get started.
Good luck.
