Will a Tardis bag take a rack?

or would I need to take a separate bag for the rack? I am willing to remove the rack but will it fit inside the bag without damaging anything?

it might be possible, but i am leaning towards 'probably not'. i have a tardis and i love it, but there is not exactly a ton of free space in there. and considering that the frame is resting upside down inside the bag would mean that the rear rack would be one of the corners of the bag, making it vulnerable.

best bet would be to either try it ou and see, or just email ground effects. they will probably know.

Thanks.

So you have used this bag a number of times? on flights? Would love to know which bike, and how safe you feel it is.

I use the Tardis and pack a small rack and all my equipment in it. How big of a rack are you using? If it something like a Tubus it might be difficult to fit around the bike and wheels, but I bet it's possible with some effort. Any smaller rack with removable struts will fit in fine. Here is a review and some shots of my packed bike

I fit in an Old Man Mountain rear Sherpa and an Old Man Mountain Ultimate Lowrider without much difficulty. Of course they are removed. I just put some clothing around it to protect it from scratches.

Nun,

Having done so much research on this bag, I had already come across your review.Thanks.

Tolocoman,

That sounds good.

I hope it helped. The Tardis is a great no nonsense solution to traveling with your bike. It doesn't provide as much protection as many bags, but it provides enough protection and wins hands down in convenience and practicality.
