Athens, Greece... Transportation help.
 

We are starting a cycle tour of Greece and Turkey mid May and are trying to coordinate how we are going to get us and our bikes into Athens.
We are trying to avoid having to assemble the bikes and ride into the city center as we will just be completing a 20+ hour travel time and it will be dark by the time we clear customs and get our stuff organized.
So, it looks like the options are stay at the airport hotel ($250, yikes) then assemble and ride in the morning or arrange transportation of some sort and stay at a more reasonable hotel city center.
Just wondering if anyone has first hand experience or advice on how to arrange transportation for us and our boxed bikes into Athens?

When arriving after dark at a major airport, I usually go to the national departure terminal and find the quietest, most hidden corner, and sleep on the floor there. There are usually less people around departure terminals...

Keep your flight tickets with you just in case security checks you out, but being in the departure terminal gives the impression that you got to the airport the evening before to catch an early flight

You've got your sleeping bag with you, I presume, so it can be a good night's sleep (and free), just bring some extra food for the evening and breakfast...
