Marathon Supremes or ???

My rear Marathon Plus on my BF NWT got speared through the tread by a 2-inch straight nail which then proceeded to burst through the opposite sidewall near the rim. Needless to say, I am now in the market for a new tire. Are Marathon Supremes still top dog?

Thanks.

P.S. Did a forum search under "toughest tires" but most threads were a couple of years old.

Hrmm...followup...looking at the Schwalbe site, it seems that for folding bikes like mine, I really only have a choice of another Plus or the Supremes with the Plus according to them being more puncture-resistant.

That's pretty much the case. I run the Supremes and after some 5 000 km I still have to experience a flat. I've crushed some pretty hard stuff that would have made my former Continental Contact expire. Then again, the Plusses are even tougher.

Yeah, I guess nothing is really going to stop a 2-inch nail. :|
