"left hand" bar end shifters
 

Hi!

I've got 9 speed dura-ace bar end shifters. Right hand is rear derailleur. Anyone know if the inside parts can be switched over to get the 9 speed indexing on the left shifter?

I'd like to have it this way for riding in left hand drive countries (UK, AUS, NZ etc) as my mirror would be in the way otherwise.

I know I could just switch them over, and will do so if there isn't an option.

Why not just move the left bar end shifter to the right, right to left ? Reroute the cables.

well, they'd be either upside down, or the "screw parts" would be less protected being on the outside of the handlebar...

Maybe I'm missing something here ..... but I don't see how they'd be upside down. Yes, the screw parts would be reversed, but so what, it in no way changes the function of the levers.

You are referring to bar end shifters on drop bars, yes?

So, I'm curious, are you running a single ring?

hi valygrl... I guess you're wondering why my mirror doesn't get in the way of the other (FD) lever? Well, it does slightly but as I only change rings occasionally it's not a problem. I'd guess at least 80% of the time I'm on the middle ring... :)
