Hi everyone;

I will be leaving Seattle on Oct 3 toward Miami. I will be towing my climbing gear Göran style destined for Aconcagua in Argentina. From Miami, I will be rowing to Ecuador by way of the Isthmus of Panama. I will park the boat in Ecuador, and bicycle a la Kropp from there to Argentina, climb it the mountain with friends, then return to the boat by bicycle. Then I will cross the Pacific for Carstenz. Next is Kilimanjaro, and if they start killing each other, Elbrus. I will return to Miami in late 2010.

Here is the proposed route around the world...

In 2003, I bicycled from Seattle to Alaska Göran style, walked in 67 miles to base camp of Denali, and climbed it. My friends joined me on the walk and the climb. We summitted on May 29, 2003. We flew out the 67 miles when I ran out of time before my own wedding, so that remains to be done later in 2011. I returned to Seattle with my gear, roundtrip odometer reading was 5,546 miles.

Since 1997, I wanted to circumnavigate the world by human power. I shared this dream with Göran who died in an accident while rock climbing together. I am carrying on with the circumnavigation. I have also added the summits as a tribute to Göran and to the inspiration that he was for me.

Around-n-Over will provide stories and educational material throughout the journey, giving kids a fun place to visit to learn about geography, people, places, cultures to name a few. We want everyone to follow this, and to engage schools in their local communities, hence this message.

I hope you can find fun in what I am trying to do, and not shoot me down too badly for this "shameless promotion." It is notifying y'all about an upcoming tour, no? ;)

Bike on, life is short.

Best,

Erden.
