First Tour journal now online!

The touring journal from my trip from Lubbock, TX to Bottomless Lakes State Park, NM (Roswell) is nearly complete! Parts 1-3 online and live, part 4 tomorrow.

Lots of thanks to the guys here on the touring forum--millions of different opinions didn't add up to too much for me, but the ever-present "just do it" mentality did. I've learned more than I've written in the journal, and am officially stoked for my next tour. Spring break seems tasty...

By the way, 276 miles done on just $65, which was almost entirely food & water costs. Feeling pretty good about that. (No bike costs, because all previously-owned commuting equipment).

Very nice read, deadprez. Your enthusiasm for bike touring bursts through on each page. Brought back memories of my own first tour, and the excitement I always feel when a new one is to begin. Waiting for part 4.....
