Not sure if this is the correct place in the forum so please move/delete if needed.

Myself and a good friend are planning a self-supported tour from Bristol, UK to India with the intention of leaving in September 2011. A rough sketch of the route is as follows - Europe - Turkey - Iran - Pakistan (situation dependent) and finally India. We are both reasonably experienced cycle tourers but have a pretty chilled out attitude to distance covered each day and are not in any major rush to get there - 60 miles a day would be a reasonable day and 4 months + to reach India.

We are very keen to use the trip to raise money for and support a subcontinent based charity and would be very interested to team up with anyone else who would like to join us either for the whole trip or a leg along the way.

im aiming towards the same direction, but in a bit less than a year from now
i'd be very interested to hear what you guys have planned so far though, in terms of route and visa's etc, its confusing me!
i'll send an email when i have some time
