I use Brooks Team Pro saddles. I have one on my T800 with a hydraulic seat post which has worked well to compensate for the aluminum frame. I also have just the saddle on my Synapse CF road bike. Thirty five years ago when I knew practically nothing about bicycles I bought a Motobecane Grand Record which came with a Brooks saddle. I remember many times people complaining about how sore they got riding a bicycle and could never figure out why I never had the same problem. Now I know why.

I have a Flyer on my Trucker, and I really like the way it rides. I've never rode on an un-sprung Brooks before though, so I cannot compare. One thing I hate about the Flyer however, is that the springs are in the way of saddle bags that hang from the bag loops on the back. I have a Carradice bag and an Acorn bag and neither one of them hang properly because of the springs. I'm *so* close to putting a regular B17 on there because of this.

Hmm, I think I shall have to get the B17 then. If I feel a need for a bit of cushion, I'll get the Flyer later.

That sounds like a great idea. There was a site, I can't remember, I'll have to find it on the forums again, that had return policy allowing you to return it within 3 months. I'm not sure if they appreciate wear, I haven't looked into it, but that sounds like a good plan.
