SRAM compatible downtube shifters

I'm considering building a bike with SRAM Rival drivetrain. I'm also considering downtube shifters rather than STIs. Are the Shimano Dura Ace downtube shifters compatible with SRAM Rival drivetrains? Are there other downtube shifters that are compatible?

I don't think the DA shifters will match the 1:1 ratio that Rival uses.

however... you can look at any of the other "Non-series" components: https://www.sram.com/sram/road/category/non_series

Can the SRAM TT shift levers be removed from ther pods and mounted on standard downtube bosses? Imagine downtube mounted R2C shifters.

Yeah. But I sure hate to give up indexing on the back. I'll probably go with STIs rather than lose the indexing.

Shimano bar-end shifters can be mounted on the downtube, so as Bezalel suggested, I would try to get hold of a SRAM bar-end/TT shifter and see if it will mount on the downtube.

However, SRAM's lack of versatility (no road triples, mountain RDs not compatible with road shifters until the new 2011 stuff came along) does not make it ideal for touring. Plus, replacement Shimano parts are easier to find.

That's exactly what I'm imagining, although I'd also be happy with some 900 TT shifters. I really just need to know if they can be removed from their pods and used on the downtube.
