I have to ask, what is that rectangular shaped thing in both photos?
the bike is one of those pan America's isn't it? With that interestingly designed rear suspension?
read some trip reports by a couple that owned them, years ago though, 7 or 8 maybe. This appears to n be electric also?

1/2 hours fully loaded and then another 75-miles the next day riding home. Sorry I never saw your question. Stay safe.

I think you are referring to the Fugoo XL Bluetooth speaker. I can mount it to the bike or to the trailer tongue. Yes, she is a Panamericana full-suspension touring frame. I know the couple you are talking about, they rode to the tip of Argentina on a pair of them... my heroes. They are why I own one today. I found their blog on CrazyGuyOnaBike. Yes, I mounted a BaFang mid-drive. Just did an over-nighter, a 46-mile climb of 6200 feet in 6

Hey BBassett is that front light bracket something custom made or is it commercially available?
"Ya think you could have used stainless steel hardware, Collin!"

str, I have a couple of those 2 litre collapsible water bags, they are well made and a really good compromise of price and especially the space they take up when flat, great product.
I generally have room in a pannier to put it in, but have you found that your strap system puts too much pressure or rubbing on it?

My slightly modded Trek 7.2FX (2013), seen here on top of the Long Mynd, Shropshire. I've done a night out with this rig, could probably pack enough in the panniers for a (fairly smelly) week or so.
I've yet to find occasion for a multi-night trip, but I will!

The loading process for rugged remote touring. The bike is a 1998 Moots YBBeat. The bags are mostly Revelate while the others are Oveja Negra (made in Salida, CO).

I didn’t really get to do the trip I wanted because the trail in the area were difficult to find and took far too much time. I ended up just coming back to my first camp and doing day rides. I wouldn’t use the leg bags again in the same terrain. I wore a hole in the bottom of one of my bags because they hit rocks on the trail.

This is an extremely remote area with zero services for about 100 miles on a side. There aren’t even that many houses still occupied down there. Thankfully there are lots of springs around so water is less of a problem then it could be. But, generally, if you don’t carry it, you aren’t going to have it.
