I used a JandD Mountain Handle Pack I when I used butterfly/trekking bars.

That carried my wallet, sunglasses, camera, light gloves, and a few other assorted things. I never liked a big handlebar bag. I used a separate map holder attached to the aero bar.

I didn't like the butterfly bars as much as I thought I would, so I've switch back to drop bars with a more normal handlebar bag.

The Ortlieb handlebar bag fits fine on the Safari handlebar, and it's got a map holder too:

I am using the Novara Bar Top Handlebar Bag - https://www.rei.com/webservices/rei/D...Sku=7990170016

There are lots out there, but if you want the map viewer many drop out.

Hey Neil, do you use the Ultimate5 Classic with the Ultimate map case(or does it come with the case?) or the Ultimate5 plus?

I have the Classic, which I got in 2008. I can't remember at this point if it came with the map case or if that was a separate purchase, sorry.

Ortlieb + the extender for the bar bag mounting clip is a common solution.
Klick Fix has a similar combination in addition to their brand bags,
they sell the hardware to many bag sewing companys

I fit a second stem beneath the primary one, and clip for the bar bag
goes on a tube clamped in that lower stem ..
