Bucket List Tour NJ to Florida

A friend and I are graduating college in May and are psyched to ride from New Jersey to Florida. Has anyone done this route or similar on this forum and can provide any solid routes. I heard Rt13 all the way down was a good choice. If anyone can chime in there 2 cents that would be awesome! Thanks guys

Bikes: I tour on a Waterford Adventurecycle. It is a fabulous touring bike.

I rode from Charleston, SC to New Jersey following the ACA Atlantc Coast Route, which I would recommend.

Here is my journal of the ride from Charleston to New Jersey.

Stay clear of the busy roads and expect a completely flat route mostly through pine forests.

Thanks Ray I will check that ACA route, will probably join it too. How long did that ride take you? I live 10 mins away from Lambertville!

I started riding from Charleston, SC on May 13 and stopped in Lambertville, NJ on June 8. I spent 4 days over Memorial Day in Williamsburg, VA and with friends in Richmond, VA. That is about 23 days on tour with 3 rest days, not counting the days off for Memorial Day.

The ride is essentially flat. The only difficulty will be the wind.

google "ikenberry" and "eastern coast bicycle tour" for links to her books/routes. they are more coastal than ACA, if that matters!
have a good trip, join "warm shower list" for places to stay!
have fun!
