Congrats to Vogel family on finishing Alaska to Tierra del Fuego Tour!

EDIT: My mistake -- I just noticed that there is another thread marking the end of this trip. See here:

sorry for the duplicate...

The Vogel family has completed their three-year epic tour from the Arctic Circle down the Pan American highway to the tip of South America, Ushuaia, Argentina. They just reached their destination on Monday, March 21, and have posted photos of the finish line on their website.

Congrats, a huge accomplishment!

The trip was led by Nancy and John Vogel, accompanied by their two sons, Daryl and Davy. The boys (who are twins) were 11 when they started and will turn 14 this year, and appear to be the youngest cyclists ever to ride the entire distance.

Nancy has chronicled the journey on the family website, and on their family Facebook page:

https://familyonbikes.org/blog/

Nancy also is a generous member of the BikeForums community, frequently popping up here to offer tips, comments and advice, under the name nancy_sv

Their blog makes great reading; I won't attempt to summarize their journey other than to recommend that folks not familiar with the family start at the beginning and work their way to the end. Some great adventures; some tough riding; some fabulous scenery. One of the things I really admire about their journey is they budgeted plenty of time for fantastic side-trips along the way.

Also, the "boys" became young men along the way; it's been amazing to watch them grow up day by day on the blog.

Again, congrats to Nancy and family!
