Salsa Vaya & low-riders
Has anyone mounted low-rider racks to a Salsa Vaya? I'm considering purchasing a Vaya frameset, and would like to use my Tubus Nova low-riders, but don't know if it'll clear the front caliper.

I don't have a Vaya to test, however, if the Nova doesn't fit exactly, you can use/fabricate a standoff/spacer and longer bolts to clear the disc caliper.
Also, steel (and Al) racks can be bent some to improve fit.
I'd be more curious about the mounting angle (tilted panniers).
I recently noticed this Vaya-like bike for less than half the Vaya price, if you're a REI Coop member:

Apparently others thought this way a good deal too, since this bike is out of stock now in most sizes. I'd rather build a Vaya frame myself, since I have already have parts.

You could ask Salsa, they're usually pretty helpful. Here's a pic of a front loaded Vaya, not sure what the racks are

The fork seems similar to that of the 09 Fargo and a Tara fits great on the Fargo with zero modification. I know that's not a guarantee but wanted to give you something to look at in case Salsa doesn't have an answer.

Thanks for the info. I called Salsa, and they weren't aware of any incompatibilities. I'll give it a go when I get the frame.

I put a Tubus Nova on my Vaya. The only incompatibility I found was due to the disk brake caliper. I used spacers that came with the rack to stand off the rack about .25” to clear the brake.
