Got my wheel out the door!

Yep, I am on the road. I am checking in from Cassville, WI. None of the training I did prepared me for the endless ups and downs of the Mississippi bluff country. This is a great route with some great vistas.

Today's a zero day, good food at the Twon Pump, then back to the park for preps to get to Dickeyville, to see the Dickeyville grotto!

Keep the rubber to the road...

Have made it to Kewanee, IL, about 40 miles north of Peoria. Another zero day in the state park, it's hot and windy. The winds along the Hennipen Canal bike path were in my face about 20, and I was doing good to keep it at 8 miles an hour, then got on the highway into the winds and even going downhill in high gear, I couldn't get over 11. It was an extremely long tiring day.

Dear Naisme:

I am so glad you decided to take the trip! Actually I am a bit envious that you are touring and I am not. Keep living the dream.
