Selection Of Tire Sizes for T800 2005 Cannondale
What size tires can I use for a Mavic A119 36 hole rim?
Thank you moneto |
We have had 28,32,and 35mm tires on my wife's T800, A119 rims. She crossed the country on the 28mm tires, but we are running 32mm now for a little more tread and rougher roads anticipated on our next tour.
IMO--Consider your anticipated riding surfaces, your total bike (rider, bike, gear) weight and use the lightest tire that will meet those needs. |
thank you very much for your information>>

Thank you moneto A more reasonable size would be anything from a 28mm to a 37mm. 37mm was standard on mine. You should, however, decrease the tire pressure with width. A 28mm can be safely pumped up to around 110psi. A 37mm shouldn't be pump up past 90psi - if that. I've had blowouts on 37mm at or above 90psi. If you happen to be a couple of hundred miles from the nearest bike shop, you could be walking a looooong way:eek::rolleyes: |
