Happy and Clean Specialized Expedition

Just washed my bike and it was so shinny and happy that I had to take a picture of it and post it. No front rack on it right now, it will go back on before the Pacific Coast tour in June. Hope you enjoy. This bike is an '86 that I picked up on ebay for $100 and rebuilt. The only original parts are the wheels and 6 speed freewheel.

Great looking Expedition! Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm and the pic. I've sure enjoyed my '83, to include a cross-country tour in '06. What an incredible touring machine! One minor correction to your post, however. The Expedition was only made from '83 to '85.

I didn't know that. I tried to figure out the year by looking at old Miyata catalogues and matching it up to the 1000 touring model. They were supposedly the same frame. The geometry and dimensions match perfectly to the 1986 model. Guess I might never know now. Thanks for the info.
