Love your blog, great adventure. After traveling from home in Colorado Springs to ride the west coast by bike, I moved to Oregon, it is an amazing place to explore by bike. Linger along the Oregon Coast, so many beautiful places, don't be in a hurry and enjoy it. Yachats is a nice little town to hang out in, and the coast highway from Yachats south to Florence is maybe the most beautiful ride in the state. There is a bike shop in Newport, OR that welcomes tourists, they have a lounge and laundry facilities for you to use, and if your bike needs anything they can help with that too. The hiker-biker in Honeyman State Park near Florence is worthy of a layover day, nice swimming lake, sand dunes and great camping.

Hey Dan, we might be crossing paths. I'm currently on my way up from San Diego. Are you going to be coming down the coast from Portland?

I passed by the Yachats to Florence area today and can see what you mean Thanks for telling me about the shop in Florence, they hooked me up. I will be camping in Honeyman park tonight, hopefully to get some good lake swimming followed by a hot shower.

And @ rdilla, yeah I am coming down the coast, we will most likely cross paths. Good luck and safe riding up the coast!
