Thanks for sharing your experience. I do as much commuting or more, than touring. The article I recently read from way back on cold feet made me realize I need a booty to cover my riding shoes. The winter in Misery gets into the single digits and below 0*F with a pretty good wind factor and humidity. Lots of mornings I go North to work and have frozen slush with the headwind. Then South in the PM with the tailwind and warmer but the slush is like chocolate mousse. I may do 25 to 50 mile Saturday rides but no real tours. Again I appreciate the information born of experience. Blues Frog
