Switching Rim Size from 19 to 27mm.

Hey guys,

Here's a little background I was riding to work made a stop, proceeded with the right of way then a car decided it didn't need to see bikes in the intersection, thought it was safe, then didn't stop and ran right into my front wheel.

So prior to this I had a mavic open pro rim. which is 19mm, with a schwalbe marathon 32mm tire.

I just bought a replacement wheelset and it uses sun rhyno lite rims which are 27mm.

What kind of change in tire profile/performance will I see. I know now that the tire seems too tall and would almost rub my fenders when they were new. Now that they have like 1500 miles they are a little more squared off on the apex but nontheless look like they have thousands of miles left.

In theory, your tire should get less tall and more wide.

I'm quite curious to hear what you discover, I've been considering a sun rhyno lite wheelset to replace my regular-old-road-rims...
