Surly Troll for Loaded Touring

ANybody out there using the Troll for fully loaded touring? I'm considering it. I'd really appreciate some feedback. Thanks, everybody.

Never ridden one myself but you may find this review interesting.

I own one but have not used it for fully loaded touring. It does handle an Xtracycle very well though. It is quite a bit stiffer than the old steel frame I used for the Xtra, even with 170ish lbs on the back it was pretty stiff.

I use a 26" wheel trekking bike.. Troll seems fine..
you can set them up with IGH or Derailleurs ..
26" MTB tires are more common spares in weird places
than any 700c touring type.

Here is my Troll on the C&O Canal Towpath for the first overnighter this weekend. Everything worked great. Carried the entire load for two, and it handled very well. Still need to finish the new wheelset with rotors, tires, etc. (Mavic XM719, XT hubs).

Thanks, y'all. Great pic, alan s. Nice set up. I think I've pretty much decided on the Troll. Gonna be building it up myself. Wheels, too. Maybe some Phil hubs.
