I would very much appreciate this, that rack is looking very appealing as a solution to my dilemma. How many loaded miles do you have on yours?
BTW, I consider the narrow platform a plus, but it may not be for some. |

I'm in Canada, so maybe there's the confusion

Because of how far down my brake is mounted in relation to where the rack will be I don't think it will work there, but a seat collar sure will and I get to keep my CF seat post a major plus since I will be on 23s. The real disabler for any of the Tubus racks for me right now is the price tag. I really can't afford that this season as I went a little over budget for gear already.
You might be able to adapt the Tubus adapter to a Racktime rack since they share some design features. The Racktime racks aren't as rugged as the Tubus but they are cheaper. |

So it gets even more confusing with differences by country? I wish they gave at least the most relevant dimensions on their web page.
http://jvbike.com/store/index.php?ma...ducts_id=16357 And this is the same configuration in the road DLX http://jvbike.com/store/index.php?ma...ducts_id=16355 Mine has a wider platform (was called Streamliner DLX then when I bought it) -- same measurement on the top base as yours as I just did it now, but I know the road DLX is much narrower because that's why I bought the first one with the pump pegs. I agree they should given some specs on the width of the base of each rack. Anyhow, the Pro Tour Inox looks like a sweeter rack.. |
I ended up going with the Road DLX after seeing it in person at my LBS, I also got a good deal on it. Works well, trunk fits, seems sturdy and should be fine for the rest of this season. Thanks for all the help! Next year I'll probably throw this on the single speed and upgrade to a Tubus.
