lol, and I'm the black sheep. I have a park tool frame pump because I was insistent that I wanted a frame pump and haven't had any bad experiences with park tool. . . haven't actually had to use it yet, but I'll let you know how it goes. It has quite a bit of plastic, but looks great and fits most any frame.

I have a both a Zefal and Road Morph (among other pumps). The Zefal isn't too bad for completely filling a empty tube after a flat fix or a tube change, but its a pain in the ass compared to the ease of the Road Morph for topping off tire pressures every other day or so on a tour. The Road Morph has a built in pressure gauge and the mini floor pump action doesn't risk tearing off your valve stems if you get a little over zealous at high pressures.

Road Morph zip tied to the top tube. Great pump. Don't over think it. Team the pump with better tires. I use Schwalbe Marathons. Many here go heavier. It's all about comfort level. The heavier you go the less likely it is that you'll ever need the pump for more than just topping off the air pressure in the tires. IMO, with regard to loaded touring bikes, there is no performance penalty for using heavy tires.

Another option would be to buy a trailer and just throw a floor pump in with the kitchen sink!!!
