mapping out a tour

Hello all. Just got some maps from ACA. They are not bad. Hard in the eyes. Lol

Do you all usually remap via online so you can see more detail?

i use a combination of google maps print-outs and state road maps. this allows for me to have a list of gas stations, campgrounds, grocer's, etc.

i've never even seen an aca map, unless you count looking at pictures of them on their website or on cgoab.

Nope I just use the AC maps as is. I can't imagine needing more detail than the AC maps. The only way I find them lacking is that they only cover the route and don't show enough of the surrounding area if you want to go off route. I do sometimes improvise alternate sections, but don't plan them before the trip. When I do that I usually just pick up a state map.

When not using AC maps I use either state maps or printouts from google maps.

I use whatever paper maps I happen to come across. Tourist information centres are a great resource for such maps. And then I follow whatever road I feel like following that day.

I will use Google to check distances sometimes.
