Katy Trail Camping
A couple friends and I are planning on doing the Katy Trail from St. Charles to Katy Roundhouse and back. We are looking at doing this in 4 days and need to find a place to camp about half way between. There does not appear to be alot in the way of camping in that area. One place we have found is Steamboat Junction Campground. Has anyone stayed there and if so how was it? Also does anyone know of other places in that mid range incase we can't make the mileage or decide to go further?

Hi.
Have you considered contacting Ray Scott?
Ray is the web master of the Katy Trail website. He wrote an article about riding the Katy rail at the following link.
https://bicycletouring101.com/PlacesKatyTrail.htm
His actual website is located at:
https://www.bikekatytrail.com/
I know from our numerous conversations from both before and after the article was written that he is very approachable, very friendly and quiet willing to help.
I suspect that if you visit his web site and drop him a note he is likely to come back to you with more information and helpful advice then you could have believed possible.
