Unfortuneate line, "Don't let your wanderlust get frustrated by the size of your wallet" might have been better. Forty years ago, as essentially a minimum wage worker, I safaried through Kenya and Tanzania. I had to play alot of angles, but where there is the will there is a way. It might have led me to encourage others to re-think whether perceived barriers are real or imaginary.

The consumerism reference reads as a judgment about others, and a statement about his moral superiority.
