Ahh, another post apocalypse set of wheels! What are those wheels moving?

psy 03-12-13 12:57 AM

Ill be puting these on my fargo..I may upgrade the frame in the next couple months though...thinking of a custom heavy tourer.

Either way the wheels will be used for loaded off road touring/bikepacking

Centerlock Disc on the front? 6 Bolt disc on the rear?

The centerlock is a good thing for Touring bikes you pack in Boxes to fly places.
because it's easy to pack the disc separately, so It Stays Flat.

Was actually still debating whether I should get the 6 bolt adapter for the shimano..was starting to think i should not bother, cause ill be buying new rotors and cassette anyway, so i can keep mycurrent wheelset as a backup or may e for another build.does it matter?

They will be laced 4 cross btw:)

For mountain Decents The discs with the aluminum spiders will soak off some heat. and
bigger the better for disc size.. 180F 160R a minimum..

[ i got a bike, built with a adapter on the front, the type which tightens around the splines with a bolt.]

Rear wheel is laced, waiting on more nipples for the front.

This beast weighs 3.96 pounds with no cassette or rotor

Kinda scary http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=304741

psy, The price to pay for reliability. Just to make you feel even better, it's .06 lb. more than a bare frame I'm restoring. ;)
